8 Easy Steps To Remove Viruses

Step 1
Restart your computer
To begin, go ahead and reboot the infected computer. If the infected computer is turned off, go ahead and turn it on.

Press F8 during computer reboot
Immediately as the computer begins to boot, press F8 many times. Pressing F8 allows you to access the Advanced Options Menu.
Step 3
Choose Safe Mode with Networking
Once you are in the Advanced Options Menu, use your arrow keys and select the Safe Mode with Networking option. Press enter when you have selected that option. Windows will now boot into Safe Mode with Networking.
Step 4
Open Run Box
Now that you are in Safe Mode with Networking it is time to remove the virus. On your keyboard, click and hold the Windows key, then press the R key. See keyboard diagram below.
Step 5
Enter removal URL and press enter
After you have pressed the Windows and R key, the Windows Run Box will open. Type exactly the following into the run box and click OK:

This is a very common issue with virus infections. Desktop links as well as links in the start menu disappear, making you unable to find the browser in order to access the internet. Fortunately though, Internet Explorer is still on your computer.
Step 1
Open Internet Explorer
Windows 7: Click Start. Type ‘iexplore’ into the search field and click enter.
Windows Vista: Click Start. Type ‘iexplore’ into the search field and click enter.
Windows XP: Click Start. Click ‘Run’. Type ‘iexplore’ into the open field and click OK.
Step 2
Browse to our website
With internet explorer open, type www.spywarehelpcenter.com into the navigation bar and click enter.
Step 3
Visit the Removal Page
On the top right, the last link on the right of the navigation menu will say Virus Removal. Click Virus Removal.
Step 4
Download the virus removal program
Download the virus removal installation file.
Step 5
Install the Spyhunter virus removal program
Open the Spyhunter virus removal installer and install the removal program. Perform all of the scans and updates. This should get rid of the virus infection on your computer.
Accessing the internet
Even if you can find your internet browser and open it, sometimes the internet is simply offline. However, 95% of the time the internet is still available but the virus will prevent you from accessing it.
Step 1
Restart your computer
Go ahead and reboot your computer from Windows or turn it on if you have it turned off.

During the reboot press the F8 key repeatedly
Right as the computer begins the reboot you must press F8 repeatedly. This will allow you to access the Advanced Options Menu.

Select Safe Mode with Networking

Windows will boot into safe mode
Windows will now boot into Safe Mode with Networking. It is a low resource version of Windows that sometimes allows you to perform simple tasks that the virus would not allow when Windows is in normal mode.
Step 5
Try accessing the internet
Now that you have rebooted your computer into Safe Mode with Networking, try accessing the internet. If you need to find your browser, see the first procedure above, “Finding the internet browser”.

Opening the .exe file
Step 1
Download the .exe installation file.
You must first have the .exe installation file saved onto your computer. If you haven’t downloaded and saved the file on your computer already, download the virus removal installation file now.

Open the .exe file
Double-click on the .exe installation file and try to get it to open. If it will not open, rename the same file to iexplore.exe.

Retry if it doesn’t open
If the iexplore.exe installation file will not open the first time, keep double-clicking the file until it opens.
