  1. Linda Talerico says:

Who can I report this to? I am furious and was blocked at the worst time. AT WORK!!

    • Randall Savage says:

The authorities are well aware of this computer lockdown scam. The FBI, ICE and international law enforcement have received thousands of reports of this virus. They will end up catching the guys responsible.

  2. Joe Lucenti says:

My friend had gotten this exact virus on his computer. After a couple days he turned on the computer and it is working as it normally would. He thinks the virus went away on its own, but that seems like it is very unlikely. I don’t know much about computers, what would you recomend?

    • Randall Savage says:

The virus did not go away on its own. I highly recommend doing a virus scan. These viruses do not simply remove themselves!

  3. James Garbutt says:

Your ransomeware instruction are pretty clear and well written, but you do not include the lastest update removal of the virus. This virus locks your computer and will not let you run in any form of safe mode. Your instruction need to be updated.

    • Randall Savage says:

We are aware that some computers that are infected with this virus are unable to enter safe mode. We are working on a solution where this occurs. We will update the ICE Virus article when we have a fix for the issue of not being able to enter safe mode.
